I've thought about starting a blog for a while now, and as I prepare to go to Germany for a year, I thought that this would be a good time to start one.
I leave on the 28th, and will be gone a full year. I'm really starting to realize that I'm actually going, and though I'm super excited about it, about crazy new adventures in a crazy new land, I'm also getting a bit anxious about the whole thing, what with an unknown place, a foreign language, and me not knowing anyone yet, but I know that it will be great.
Hopefully I find the motivation to keep this up, but at least I started it, that's step one.

I'm so excited to hear of your adventures, but keep in mind that I don't know any German! No German posts allowed!
